David has a fascinating career story. Starting his life as an academic in politics and then finding a niche in sport policy and globalisation. Now, David is a broadcaster for the BBC, a journalist for The Gardian, and he is an author of seven books. Which in 2015, he won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year for 'The Game of Our Lives: The Meaning and Making of English Football'.
