The Sports Career Question on the Show: What advice would you give to university students who want to start a career in the sports industry?

Diego 's Answer: I always say the sports industry is so broad, and the football industry is so broad. I mean, you can work as an agent, you can work in events, you can work in media, you can work in marketing, and sponsorship, they're all in the industry, but they're also very different from each other. I mean, imagine being an agent. And working in media is completely different, right? I mean, everything is related, of course, but but the areas in within the football industry are very diverse. So when I talked to a lot of people, they don't necessarily have that very clear in their mind. And they say, well, I want to work in anything. That's fine, if you have that passion, but really at the end of the day, you're eventually going to have to, you know, an area  that you enjoy working in, and that you also can maybe leverage part of your academic background or your previous corporate experience. So try to find one or two areas where you really want to work in, and then start, you know, I always say try to become an expert at that.
