This Week's Special Guest Interview: Dr Martin Roderick
Welcome to the FIRST episode of the Sport Industry Access Podcast. To kick start the show, my first 'special guest' is Dr Martin Roderick. He is currently a senior lecturer at Durham University. Before, Martin decided to venture a career as an academic, he was a professional footballer, due to injury his sport’s career came to a end.
I've had the privilege to be taught by Martin, during my time at Durham University he was one of many inspiring lectures because he applies his experience as an athlete into his research, which meant his enthusiasm came through into his teaching. Most of all, Martin is a person who pushes his students to the limit, so they can shine in the ‘real world’ when relating to employment.
